Getting Started

Do you service my area?

We have offices in Florida and Texas! In Florida we service all of Broward County and Miami-Dade County. In Texas we service the majority of Travis County, home to Austin! Please view our “Locations” page for the list of specific cities and areas that we cover. You can also contact us at info@bluechipmaids.com to confirm if we service your area.

How much will it cost?

Our standard prices begin at $75, and with our $150 off promotion ($25 off each cleaning for your first 6 cleanings), our prices actually start at $65! On our booking page, the price will adjust depending on the services and extras you select. No hassle or in-person quotes needed! Fast and easy online booking 🙂

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

Yes, we bring all of our own supplies. If you ever would prefer us using a certain product, just let us know and we will try our hardest to accommodate your needs!

Can I request special tasks or extras?

Yes you can! On the Booking Page, under “Select Extras”, select the extra services that you would like to add to your cleaning. You can include any extra notes in the Comments Box at the bottom of the Booking Page.

How do I sign up for my Blue Chip Maids account?

Click the “Sign Up” button at the bottom (footer) of the website, then enter your email address and password and click “Sign In”.

What are your office hours and cleaning hours?

Our office is open Monday through Friday 9am-6pm EST, and our cleaning hours are also Monday through Friday 9am-6pm EST.

How soon before my appointment can I make changes or cancel?

Changes can be made to your appointment up to 24 hours before your appointment. Appointments that are cancelled on the day of the appointment may be subject to a late cancellation fee, which also applies if our cleaning staff is denied entry or turned away upon arrival.

How many cleaners do you send?

We send one to two cleaners to each appointment, depending on house size, extra services requested and availability. Two cleaners will automatically be sent to standard cleanings of 5+ bedrooms, deep cleanings of 3+ bedrooms, and all move-in cleanings. You may request two cleaners for your appointment and we will confirm availability following your request.

Can I trust my cleaning professional?

We have meticulously vetted all of our cleaners to ensure nothing but the best quality of work, while following through with all your wants and needs. Blue Chip Maids is also licensed, bonded and insured as well.

What happens if something goes wrong during my appointment?

If anything happens, feel free to give us a call, or email us and we will do everything we can to fix it!

Is my billing information kept safe and secure?

We use Stripe for our credit card service. Dependable and easy! You can rest easy knowing it’s safe!

Do the cleaning professionals go through a background check?

Yes, they sure do. With the vetting process, we do a background check, have a sit down, and also put them through a training seminar to ensure quality.

What is your 100% satisfaction guarantee policy?

If we do not meet your expectations in any way, we will come back and re-clean the spots we missed at no cost! Here is how it works:

If you (the client) are home at the end of your cleaning appointment, the cleaner will ask you to do an inspection before they leave your home. This will give you the opportunity to point out any spots that you would like us to touch up or re-clean before we leave, and will ensure that you will receive a great house cleaning to your satisfaction!

If you are not home at the end of the cleaning, then naturally, you will be performing your inspection after the cleaner has left. In this case, if you feel that there are any spots or areas that were missed, or if you are dissatisfied with your cleaning altogether, just email us your notes on what you feel was missed, and we will schedule a Complimentary “Make-up Cleaning” for us to come back the very next business day that you are available to have us come re-clean those areas, free of charge!

Please Note: Our Satisfaction Guarantee does not include refunds of any kind. If a client is unavailable to receive us for a make-up cleaning, this does not entitle the client to a refund. Our Satisfaction Guarantee works to ensure that our clients receive a clean home, which includes us coming back a second time free of charge to re-clean any areas that the client feels was not cleaned properly the first time around. If a client requests a make-up cleaning, the client will need to be home at the end of the cleaning to perform an inspection and confirm with the cleaner that they are satisfied with the make-up cleaning.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes we are!

Are there any hidden or extra fees?

Absolutely not! The quote provided on our booking form is the final amount owed. Any valet fees or metered parking fees incurred will be added to the charge.

When will my credit card be charged?

We place a hold on the credit card on file the day before each appointment to ensure the funds are available the day of the appointment. Once the cleaning has been completed the credit card on file will be charged.

Services

What is included in a standard cleaning?

All bedrooms and bathrooms as well as kitchen and living room will be cleaned. Vacuuming, dusting, mopping of floors, cobweb removal, wiping down door handles, light fixtures, table tops, and counters. Also included is disposal of any trash and replacing of the bag as well. Please read below for more specific cleaning information on bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms.

What is included in a deep cleaning?

A deep cleaning differs from a normal recurring cleaning in a few, but fairly significant ways. Typically it involves moving kitchen and household appliances and cleaning the area that is covered by said appliances/household items. We will carefully move the items over and do a thorough wipe-down/dusting to ensure the area is 100% clear of any dust, cobwebs, liquids, or stains. We recommend a deep cleaning for the first time, with then recurring normal cleanings being the typical up-keep to prevent from needing deep cleans down the road.

What is a move in/move out cleaning?

Most apartments or house contracts require a “surface cleaning” before moving in or out of a new place. We help out with that and more! In addition to all Standard Cleaning tasks, we will do the following to make the transition between places easy: dusting (everything), cleaning kitchen appliances, cleaning out and wiping down cabinets, scrub toilets, wipe down sinks and counter tops, wipe down all flat surfaces, and vacuum/sweep all of the floors.

What is cleaned in each bedroom?

Beds made (linens changed upon request). Lamps cleaned and lampshades dusted. Fingerprints removed from all woodwork, door-frames and switch plates. Picture frames dusted. Furniture dusted – top, front and underneath. Floors vacuumed and/or washed (under bed if accessible). Windowsills cleaned (blinds dusted upon request). Interior windows dusted. Baseboard dusted. Trash emptied. Mirrors cleaned. General straightening completed. All of these tasks are provided to our cleaning staff on a laminated checklist to mark off as they go, ensuring that every task is completed for each bedroom.

What is cleaned in each bathroom?

Tub and shower tiles scrubbed, disinfected and rinsed. Toilets disinfected inside and out. Chrome fixtures cleaned and shined. Towels neatly hung and folded. Countertops disinfected (all items removed and replaced). Cabinet front cleaned. Sinks scrubbed and disinfected. Floors vacuumed and/or washed. Windowsills cleaned. Interior windows dusted. Blinds dusted. Baseboards dusted. Trash emptied. Mirrors cleaned. All of these tasks are provided to our cleaning staff on a laminated checklist to mark off as they go, ensuring that every task is completed for each bathroom.

What is cleaned in the kitchen?

Appliance exteriors cleaned. Microwave exterior/interior cleaned. Fingerprints removed from all woodwork, door-frames and switch plates. Tables and chairs cleaned. Countertops and backsplash disinfected (all items removed and replaced). Cabinet fronts cleaned. Sinks/dishes scrubbed and disinfected. Floor vacuumed and/or washed. Windowsills cleaned. Interior windows dusted. Blinds dusted. Baseboards dusted. Trash emptied. All of these tasks are provided to our cleaning staff on a laminated checklist to mark off as they go, ensuring that every task is completed for the kitchen.

What is cleaned in the living room/area?

Upholstered furniture vacuumed. Cushions/pillows fluffed and straightened. Fingerprints removed from all woodwork, door-frames and switch plates. Ceiling fans dusted. Lamps cleaned and lampshades dusted. Picture frames dusted. Furniture dusted: on top, front and underneath. Hardwood floors vacuumed and/or washed. Hallways and stairs vacuumed and washed. Carpets vacuumed. Windowsills cleaned. Interior windows dusted. Blinds dusted. Baseboards dusted. Trash emptied. General straightening completed. All of these tasks are provided to our cleaning staff on a laminated checklist to mark off as they go, ensuring that every task is completed for the living room/area.

Do you clean windows?

Our standard window treatment includes wiping down the windowsills, dusting the blinds and dusting the windows. If you would like the interior window glass to be professionally cleaned, you can elect that option in the “Extra Services” section on the “Book Now” page, upon checkout.

Will the same maid clean my home each time?

Yes! We will assign the same maid to clean your home each time, and we will always strive to ensure your assigned maid is available to make your appointment. However, in the event that your assigned maid is sick, out of town, on vacation or dealing with a personal matter, we will send another maid from our qualified staff, and you can expect the same sparkling cleaning that you would normally receive, with of course 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!

What happens if my normal maid is unavailable?

Our superior cleaning staff gives us the opportunity to never miss a cleaning of yours again. This means that if your assigned maid is unavailable, we will send another maid from our qualified staff to deliver the same sparkling cleaning that you are accustomed to, with of course 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed! In the event of sending a fill-in maid, rest assured that your assigned maid and fill-in maid will review the details of your appointment beforehand. Notice of the maid change will not be given ahead of time. If the fill-in maid is turned away, a late cancellation fee may be applied to the card on file. Our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee is always in effect, and we will make right any mistakes or spots missed by the fll-in maid, if any, free of charge!

Do you clean the exterior of homes?

We clean the complete interior of your home, but we do not clean home exteriors, including but not limited to balconies, patios, and exterior windows.

Can you service our home if our A/C unit is not working?

We can only service homes with working A/C units, and the A/C must be on during the appointment. If the A/C unit in your home is not currently working, then we will not be able to service your home until the A/C unit is fixed.

Do you take any precautions for covid-19?

Absolutely! Our team wears their mask and gloves and keeps 6 feet social distancing during all appointments. Our team also sanitizes their equipment in between each cleaning with Lysol or other disinfectant. As a third measure of precaution, our team checks their temperature before each appointment with an at-home thermometer.
